Our
Philosophy of Care:
At the Tre’
Care Group we believe that our Residents are central to the
care provided, each one being a whole person, a unique individual
with differing physical, psychological, social and spiritual
strengths.
We recognise that
from birth to death, individuals are subject to deviations from
health, which prevent them from being able to meet all their
needs of daily living.
We believe that our
role is to respond when Resident’s family and friends
do not have the necessary strengths, skills and knowledge to
assist the Residents to fulfil all of their needs of daily living.
In co-ordination with the Residents and their family and friends
we aim to plan an individual care programme which is flexible
and appropriate and meets the needs and wishes of our Residents
and their families and friends.
We believe that our
approach will enable us to provide care, which assists the Resident
to maximise their strengths and abilities to achieve an optimum
state of health, in an environment, which is safe, caring, relaxed
and homely.
All care staff within
our homes will be appropriately qualified to deliver the highest
standards of care. A continuous staff-training programme is
implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained
in line with the latest initiatives and developments in care
practices as may be laid down in appropriate legislation, and
registration authority guidelines.

Residents’
Rights:
The
rights of all of our Residents face when moving into a home,
to minimise the impact of those changes we will promote the
philosophy of a “family circle”. We will endeavour
to retain as much privacy and dignity as possible by:
| - |
helping
Residents to personalise and equip their rooms as they wish. |
| - |
by
providing keys to their rooms if requested after a risk
assessment has been completed and agreed by the Residents/Relative,
and a secure place for their valuables. |
| - |
giving
Residents the opportunity to have privacy when receiving
visitors, making telephone calls or opening and reading
mail. |
| - |
securing
all Residents’ records and information and respecting
their confidentiality. |
| - |
treating
each Resident as an individual and a respected member of
the family circle. |
| - |
assisting
Residents to maintain their dignity through their personal
appearance and behaviour. |
| - |
promoting
activities that encourage Residents to express themselves
as individuals. |
- |
helping
Residents to overcome any shortcomings they may experience
through age or disability. |
